61 local bodies yet to present budget for current FY…

Kathmandu, Sept 6: A total of 61 local levels have not yet unveiled their budgets for the current fiscal year 2025/26 (FY 2082/83), despite the constitutional provision requiring local levels to present budgets by Asar 10 (June 24) every year. According to the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration (MoFAGA),
457 local levels make public their budgets

Out of 753 local levels, only 446 have been able to make public the budget for fiscal year, 2080/81. The
13 local levels face grants cut down for non-compliance

Dhanusha: At least 13 local levels of Dhanusha district saw cut-down of grants for failing to comply with their obligations.
