Kathmandu, April 4: Taxi drivers have protested that the parking fare in the Tribhuvan International Airport area is expensive.
Under the leadership of Nepal Transport Independent Labor Organization, taxi drivers protested today by stopping service from Tribhuvan Airport. The taxi drivers protested that the parking fee in the Tribhuvan Airport area was Rs 20 per hour earlier, but now it has been increased to Rs 80 and it is about to be increased to Rs 100 again.
Earlier, they had protested by sitting in front of the airport gate. The land of the airport has been leased by a company called IMS Airport Services.
