Kathmandu, Aug 26: The U.S. Embassy in Nepal celebrated this year’s Haritalika Teej with grandeur. The event, held within the embassy premises, featured traditional Nepali dances, songs, and cultural performances.
Ambassador Dean R. Thompson, embassy staff, their families, and Nepali guests participated the festival. Participants dressed in traditional red and green attire, adding vibrance to the Teej festivities.
On the occasion, the embassy stated that it has been continuing the tradition of organizing various cultural activities to honor Nepal’s festivals and cultural heritage.
Sharing photos on social media, the embassy wrote, “Best wishes for Haritalika Teej from the U.S. Embassy!”
Today, Nepal is celebrating Teej Festival. Nepali women particularly celebrate teej, visit and worship at Lord Shiva temple, and perform various cultural activities including dance.
