Kathmandu, Jan 2: Three more Nepali citizens serving in the Russian army have been killed in the Russia-Ukrain war. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has informed on Tuesday that three more Nepali people died in the Russia-Ukraine war.
The spokesperson of the ministry, Amrit Bahadur Rai, said that information has been received about the death of Hari Prasad Aryal of Syangja (passport no. 12299891), Bhar Bahadur Shah of Kailali (passport no. 11027175) and Raj Kumar Giri of Dhading district (passport no. 07573738).
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sandeep Thapalia of Gorkha, Rupak Karki of Kapilvastu Banaganga-1, Dewan Rai of Pokhara Kaski, Pitam Karki of Putlibazar-5 Syangja, Raj Kumar Roka of Melung-6 Dolakha, Ganga Raj Moktan of Ilam-5 and Kundan Singh Nagal of Ilam-5 who were previously serving in the Russian army have died.
Reports suggest that more than 200 Nepalis have been serving in Russian Army without Nepal government’s prior approval. The Foreign Minister NP Saud has already said that the ministry has received nearly 100 applications to searching the missing family members in Russia.
The government of Nepal has already sent request letter to Russia government not to take Nepalis in their security services including formal Russian Army or any other private armies.
