KATHMANDU: Three more Nepalis have died abroad due to coronavirus infection. According to the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), three people have died in the UK this week due to infection. Including this, the number of Nepalis dying due to coronavirus infection abroad has reached 330.
According to Sanjeev Sapkota, coordinator of the health committee under the NRNA, 58,695 Nepalis in 50 countries have contracted coronavirus as of Saturday evening. Of them, 55,793 have been recovered from covid-19. According to the NRNA, more Nepalis living in the UK, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Portugal and Nigeria have been infected with the coronavirus this week.
Similarly, 2,027 people have died in Nepal due to coronavirus. In Nepal, the number of people infected with the corona virus have reached 270,854 from which 266,048 or 98.2 percent have recovered, according to Ministry of Health and Population.
