RAJBIRAJ: Three people including father-in-law and daughter-in-law died due to electrocution in Saptari district on Wednesday.
Two people died due to electrocution in Kanchanrup municipality last night. The deceased are 40-year-old Saudanand Sardar and 20-year-old Anjali Sardar of Kanchanrup-6. They are father-in-law and daughter-in-law.
According to Ramkumar Yadav, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Kanchanpur Area Police Office, Anjali, who was seven months pregnant, was electrocuted when she went to fetch water from a motorized tube in her yard.
Saudananda, who went to save his unconscious daughter-in-law, was also electrocuted. Yadav said that both people died on the spot.
Similarly, 56-year-old Shivshankar Sah also died of electrocution in Rajgarh Rural Municipality-2 Kamalpur of Saptari. He was electrocuted while drawing water from the motor installed in the chapakal in the yard of his house.
