Three people hurt in rhino attack



Rajapur, Aug 31: Three people were injured due to attack by rhinocerous at Ranipur of Barbardiya municipality this morning.

A rhino that came from the Ranipur jungle attacked the people who had gathered at local Kusumbaghat to watch a newly constructed suspension bridge at the site.

The health condition of two out of the three victims is said to be serious and they have been taken to the Teaching Hospital at Kohalpur of Banke for advanced treatment, police said.

Those injured in the rhino attack are 39-year-old Ram Prasad Tharu of Barbardiya municipality-4, and 65-year-old Jangali Tharu and 10-year-old Shikha Tharu of ward number 5 of the same municipality.

Jangali and Shikha are in serious condition, superintendent of police Rajesh Nath Bastola said.
