Tiger kills a person in Chitwan



Bharatpur, Nov 24: A person was killed after a tiger attacked him in the buffer zone of Chitwan National Park (CNP) this morning. The deceased is 43-year-old Hari Poudel of Dubichaur, Rapti Municipality-1.

Ganesh Prasad Tiwari, the CNP Information Officer, said that Poudel came under an attack of the tiger when he had gone to Rapti Dobhan at Lothar, Manahari rural municipality-6 in Makawnpur to collect fodder for cattle. The incident took place at 9.45 am.

Meanwhile, a person who had gone for fishing in the Narayani river has been found dead. He is 18-year-old Sameer Pariyar of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-16. Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office Chitwan, Bijaya Raj Pandit, said Pariyar, who had gone to the Narayani river near his home for fishing on Thursday evening, was found dead this morning.
