Time to wage struggle for democracy again: Deuba

Kathmandu: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said time has come again to wage struggle for democracy in the country.

At a programme organized by Mahendra Narayan Nidhi Memorial Foundation here Tuesday, he said peaceful agitation against government’s wrongdoings is imperative.

“NC does not compromise in anything as far as peaceful society and democracy are concerned. The struggle will however be peaceful and non-violent,” he stressed, adding that the problems in the party would be sorted out gradually.

NC Vice President Bimalendra Nidhi argued that federal democratic republic was jeopardized because of the ruling party’s unruliness.

Similarly, central member of the party Prakash Man Singh observed that government activities have afflicted citizens much. At such situation whether the major opposition works for citizens’ expectation counts much.

Another leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula accused the government of misusing the constitution for party interest rather than for country’s prosperity.
