Kathmandu, July 18: Well-known tourism entrepreneur and social worker Ambika Shrestha has passed away.
She, who was the owner of the famous Dwarika’s Hotel in Nepal, passed away on Thursday morning at Medicity Hospital.
Shrestha was active in Nepal’s tourism, media and cultural heritage conservation. She was married to Dwarika Prasad Shrestha, who was living as the head of the Consulate General of Spain in Nepal.
After the death of her husband in 1991, she was handling the responsibility of Dwarika’s Hotel. She has received the Cross of the Order of Civil Merit from His Majesty King Juan Carlos I (Spain).
She has two daughters.
