Tri-Nation Final: Nepal posts 163 runs target against UAE

Kathmandu, Oct 27: Nepal has posted a mid target of 163 run against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the finals under the Tri-Nation T20 International Series underway in Kathmandu.

The match is underway at Kirtipur-based Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground. Nepal was invited to bat first after losing the toss.

Nepal managed to score 162 runs with the batting performance of Kushal Bhurtel’s 50 runs. Likewise, Aasif Sheikh scored 7, Kushal Malla 1, Captain Rohit Paudel 18, Dipendra Singh Airee 20, Sundeep Jora 10, Gulshan Jha 5, Sompal Kami 13 and Karan KC 23 runs.

UAE’s Aayan Afzal Khan took 3 wickets, Ali Naseer and Zahoor Khan took 2 wickets each. Likewise Junaid Siddique took 1 wicket.

Earlier, Nepal beat UAE by seven wickets in its first match, and by five wickets in the second.

Meanwhile, UAE has displayed a briliant start. Within 10 overs UAE has scored 85 runs with the loss of 2 wickets in quick succession.
