KATHMANDU: Nepal Police have apprehended two persons involved in looting a person at Lainchaur of Kathmandu.
A police squad mobilized from the Police Circle Lainchaur arrested 25-year-old Pemba Tamang of Nuwakot district and currently residing in Budhanilkantha and 34-year-old Shalik Ram Nepali of Dang district presently residing in Maligaon of Kathmandu.
Tamang and Nepali had robbed a 40-year-old man of Rs 3.5 million from an eatery near the Badminton Court at Lainchaur, Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Ward no 26.
Spokesperson for the District Police Range Kathmandu, Superintendent of Police Dinesh Raj Mainali said they were arrested for their involvement in robbing of a person after calling him to the eatery and luring him.
Police confiscated a mobile phone, one watch and an iron rod from the accused. Police have taken a remand of five days from the Kathmandu District Court to keep Tamang and Nepali in custody and carry out further investigation on the charge of robbery and theft.
