Two roads connecting Hetauda to Kathmandu blocked



Hetauda, Aug 26: Two roads that connects the provincial capital Hetauda to the federal capital Kathmandu have been completely blocked due to landslides triggered by incessant rain.

The road that passes through Sisneri, Kulekhani, Farping and Kathmandu has been blocked by a landslide in Ramchandra Bhanjyang of Indrasarowar Rural Municipality-3, as reported by Deputy Superintendent of Police Laksmi Bhandari.

Similarly, the Kanti highway has also been completely blocked due to landslides in the Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-8 Mahadeotar road section of Makwanpur.

Efforts are currently underway to clear the roads for traffic by removing the landslide debris, said DSP Bhandari.
