Nepalgunj, Banke : the U.S. Embassy Nepal, in partnership with the International Development Institute (IDI) and Aadyanta Advisory, launched a nationwide Entrepreneurship Skill-Building Program, beginning in Nepalgunj. This initiative will equip early-stage entrepreneurs across Nepal with practical skills to build sustainable businesses, attract investment, and compete in regional and global markets.
The program begins in Nepalgunj for Lumbini Province and will continue in Dhangadi, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Hetauda, Bhairahawa, and Pokhara. Approximately 200 entrepreneurs from all seven provinces will participate in a series of in-person workshops and virtual bootcamps.
Training sessions focus on business fundamentals, market validation, investor communication, digital marketing, and export readiness. These core competencies will help entrepreneurs transform ideas into viable companies that generate jobs, boost trade, and drive long-term economic growth in Nepal.
“Entrepreneurs are essential to economic growth and innovation,” said Mike Harker, Public Affairs Chief at the U.S. Embassy Nepal. “By supporting Nepali founders as they build scalable businesses, this program strengthens Nepal’s private sector and creates new opportunities for trade and commercial cooperation between the United States and Nepal.”
This initiative is part of the U.S.–Nepal Commercial Diplomacy Series, which expands economic ties by promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, and private sector growth. The program connects founders with mentors, investors, and industry experts, while providing practical training to refine business models and prepare ventures for growth and partnership with American firms. By expanding access to entrepreneurship support across Nepal, the program strengthens Nepal’s innovation ecosystem and advances economic cooperation between the United States and Nepal.
The International Development Institute and Aadyanta Advisory are implementing the program in collaboration with the American Chamber of Commerce Nepal and the Global Impact Collective. #nepal
