KATHMANDU: A senior leader of UCPN (Maoist Centre) and former minister Barshaman Pun has said that the balance of power will take shape after March 18.

Talking to media persons after the meeting of the parliamentary party of the UCPN (Maoist Centre) on Tuesday, Pun said that the balance of power between the Nepali Congress, the UCPN (Maoist Centre) and the JSP would take shape after the meeting of the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) on March 18.

Claiming that there would be an alliance between the three parties, he said that the three-party alliance would be natural as there was a joint agitation against the unconstitutional move of Prime Minister Oli.

He said, “JSP has a meeting on the March 18. After that meeting, this balance of power becomes concrete. An alliance is formed between the Maoist Centre, the Nepali Congress and the JSP, because the move by the Prime Minister was unconstitutional.”

Leader Pun also said that due to the dissolution of the House of Representatives by the Prime Minister, the moral basis for taking a vote of confidence and becoming the chief executive has been lost.
