Kathmandu, Jan 5: Minister for Water Supply Dr Madan Prasad Pariyar approved a proposal to complete the unfinished drinking water projects in Madhes Province at the earliest.
Assuming office at the Ministry of Water Supply today, Minister Pariyar, who also holds the portfolio of Agriculture and Livestock Development, Minister Pariyar emphasized that the ministry should work on priority to ensure access to clean, safe and sustainable drinking water to citizens across the country.
“Citizens of many regions of the country, including Tarai Madhes, are still deprived of access to clean drinking water,” Minister Pariyar said.
“The government, ministries and all stakeholders should work together to provide clean and safe drinking water to all citizens.”
He mentioned that programs would be implemented, especially giving priority to citizens of rural and remote areas. #nepal #rss
