Kathmandu, Aug 21: A session of the National Assembly today unanimously passed a proposal to send the ‘ Kathmandu Valley Public Transport ( Management) Authority Bill-2076 BS’ to the Legislation Management Committee for clause-wise deliberations.
The proposal was presented by NA chair Ganesh Timalsina for the decision. Prior to this, it was presented before the session by Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Raghubir Mahaseth.
Similarly, in the meeting , Delegated Management and Government Assurance Committee president Ram Narayan Bidari presented the committee’s annual report- 2076 BS.
On the occasion, he said government, as per the parliamentary norms and values, was expected to follow directions given by the parliament and parliamentary committees.
The report points out lack of effective implementation of government assurance and effective protection of documents of national importance, stating that ministries did not implement the delegated legislation.
NA secretary Rajendra Phuyal tabled three bills received from the House of Representatives.
They are Police Adjustment Bill; Nepal Police and State Police (work operation, monitoring and coordination) Bill; and Environment Protection Bill-2076 BS. The NA next session has been scheduled for 11:00 am , tomorrow, Thursday
