KATHMANDU: The US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs, Donald Lu, arrived in Kathmandu ahead of a three-day trip on Wednesday.
During the visit, he will meet with government leaders and visit cultural heritage sites.
Similarly, Deputy Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs, Kelly Keiderling, will also arrive and meet with Nepali officials and emerging civil society leaders.
Their visit comes just ahead of the 75th year of diplomatic relations between the US and Nepal.
As part of US President Biden’s top priorities, they will address challenges like COVID-19, climate change, and strengthening democracies. Information to this was shared in a press release by the US Embassy in Kathmandu.
