Vaccination in the age group of 60 to 64 years from Tuesday

KATHMANDU: The government is running a two-day vaccination campaign against coronavirus across the country from Tuesday.
The first dose is being administered to people in the age group of 60-64 in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur of the valley and 62-64 in the age group outside the valley.

An official of the Ministry of Health said that the age of 60 to 64 years has been selected in the Kathmandu Valley and 62 to 64 years outside as the number could be increased.

Chief District Officer of Kathmandu Kali Prasad Parajuli said that vaccination has been arranged in all the wards of Kathmandu Metropolitan City. Other municipalities will administer vaccines at designated locations.

The Lalitpur Metropolitan City Office has published notice and informed people regarding vaccination centres.

The government is planning to inoculate Sinopharm’s vero cell vaccine this time. The government of China has recently donated 1 million doses of vero cell vaccine to Nepal.
