Mustang, Jan 13: Security agencies have confiscated electronic cigarettes (vapes) worth Rs 22.4 million from the Korala border point in Mustang.
A joint team of the Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and the Mustang Customs Office seized 16,000 units of vapes from a container bearing registration number Na 6 Kha 7591 on Monday evening.
According to Santosh Basyal, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Mustang, the container driver, Pema Lama of Sunsari Rural Municipality–5, Sindhupalchok, has been taken into custody for investigation, while the vehicle has been impounded.
Last year as well, vapes worth Rs 68.1 million were seized from the Korala border transit point, indicating a continued trend of illegal vape smuggling through the area. #nepal #vapes #tibet
