Vote counting begins in Ilam and Bajhang



Vote counting in Bajhang, 2024

Kathmandu, April 28: Counting of votes has started in Ilam and Bajhang. According to the Election Commission, the counting of votes for the polling that was held on Saturday for Ilam Constituency 2 has started from 11:00 am today.

In this constitutency, it is expected that there will be a tough competition among candidates of CPN-UML, Nepali Congress, RSP and independent candidate. According to the CEC, the final result of the counting of votes will be received only by Monday afternoon.

Likewise, the counting of votes for the Provincial Assembly (1) of Bajhang has started.

The Chief Electoral Officer informed that the counting has started from Chabispathivera rural municipality-1 and 2.

In the by-election held on Saturday, 49.12 percent i.e. 30,328 votes were cast here.
