Kathmandu, July 1: The Meteorological Forecasting Division has said that it will be generally to mostly cloudy throughout the country today.
According to the Division, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of the country and chances of heavy rainfall at a few places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Sudur Pashchim Province and, chances of very heavy rainfall at one or two places of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki Province.

Likewise, there will be generally to mostly cloudy throughout the country today night. “Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of Koshi, Madesh, Bagmati and Gandaki Province and at a few places of rest of the country,” the Division has said.
There will be chances of heavy rainfall at a few places of Koshi, Madesh, Bagmati and Gandaki Province and chances of very heavy rainfall at one or two places of Koshi and Gandaki Province.
The Division has also warned that there is a risk of soil erosion, landslides and debris flow until Thursday, and there is a risk of flooding in urban and lowland areas, the water level in large and small rivers and streams may rise, and may affect the daily life, agriculture, health, road and air transport.
The general public and all concerned agencies are requested to take necessary precautions and pre-preparation, the Division has said.
