CHITWAN: A woman was killed after a wild elephant attacked her in the Dakchhinkali community forest at Bharatpur Metropolitan City in Chitwan on Friday noon.
The deceased identified as Maya BK, 51, of Devnagar in the Metropolis-6 had gone to the forest to collect fodder when the attack took place, said Ganesh Prasad Tiwari, Information Officer at the Chitwan National Park. A team from the CNP and Chitwan police has been deployed in the incident site, he said.
