Nepalgunj: A woman has died in an attack by a tiger in Kohalpur of Banke. Kali Basnet,65, a resident of Naya Basti in ward no. 13 of Kohalpur municipality died after being attacked by the tiger in the buffer zone of the Banke National Park on Sunday afternoon, according to Area Police Office, Kohalpur.
Basnet had gone to collect firewood in the forest when the incident took place at around 4:00 pm.
She was found dead in a search carried out since she did not return home, said local resident of Kohalpur-13 Nirak Bahadur Shahi.
