
Pokhara, Mar 7: The Women Tourism Entrepreneurs Forum (WOTEF) has organized a three-day adventure trek from today to mark the 115th International Women’s Day.
WOTEF Chair Uma Regmi Bhandari said that the trekking started from Pokhara with the support of the Gandaki Province Government, Ministry of Industry and Tourism with the slogan ‘Breaking the boundaries by conquering heights’ will be conducted from Ghandruk, Tadapani, Dobate to Mulde Viewpoint.
Stating that the trekking programme has been organized in the context of Visit Pokhara Year 2025, she said a 28-member promotional team would study and observe the possibilities and challenges of trekking tourism.
“This campaign will help make the Visit Pokhara Year 2025 a success by supporting the target of bringing two million tourists to Pokhara as announced by the Pokhara Metropolitan City Office,” she added.
Gandaki Province Assembly member Devaka Pahari, Gandaki Province Tourism Secretary Kuman Singh Gurung, Tourism Minister’s Personal Secretary Jeevan Uchchai Thakuri, Pokhara Visit Year 2025 Coordinator Gopi Bahadur Bhattarai, representatives of Pokhara Tourism Council-affiliated organizations, among others, bid farewell to the team from Pokhara. #WOTEF #WomenDay #nepal
