Lumbini, Dec 31: Youths have launched the ‘National Reawakening Campaign’ from Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha, with the aim of freeing the country from political instability, despair and violence.

With the aim of reaching every corner of the country with the message of peaceful change, the campaign was launched from Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha, starting on Monday.

An initiative has been launched under the leadership of youths through the ‘The Future Leadership Network Nepal’, formed to attract the younger generation towards non-violent, judicious, and peaceful politics in the post-Gen Z movement scenario.

The Campaign organisers have said that the main goal of the campaign is to lead society towards hope, cooperation and coexistence, changing the negative and violence-oriented political culture.

Activist Nigam Humagain, writer and journalist Ghanashyam Khadka, Gen Z activist Sanjiv Sapkota, youth leaders Prakriti Dhakal and Meena Kumari Thakur, activist Indrajit Safi, water resource expert Devesh Belbase, lawyer Ayusa Kadel, local youth Ratan Acharya and a group of Gen Z and Gen Y youths reached Lumbini this morning to pay homage to the Buddha and engage in the Renaissance campaign.
