112 Nepalis returned home from Afghanistan

KATHMANDU: Another 112 Nepalis returned home from Afghanistan on Tuesday. Of them, 103 arrived from Jordan Aviation and nine from Qatar Air, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A total of 770 Nepalis have so far returned home from Afghanistan.

After their arrival, they have completed the necessary procedures including immigration and testing of COVID-19 at the Holding Centre at Samakhusi, Kathmandu.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, continuous coordination and facilitation is being carried out to bring Nepalis stranded at Doha, Dubai, London and New Delhi to Kathmandu after being rescued from Afghanistan.

According to the ministry, Nepali citizens are continuing to return after being rescued from Afghanistan.

The government has also provided the web portal of the Consular Services Department and mobile numbers including Viber and WhatsApp to Nepali citizens in Afghanistan to fill in their details.
