NEPSE index lost 29 points on Tuesday

KATHMANDU: The NEPSE index lost 29.01 points on Tuesday and closed at 2,532.46. The index opened at 2,562.43 and made an intraday high at 2,585.15. While the index went as low as 2,524.44, it ultimately closed at 2,532.46.

According to NEPSE office, 15,985,198 shares traded hands via 71,112 transactions. The trading of 194 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 8.146 billion.

While the float index lost 1.88 points and closed at 172.62, the Sensitive index is at 461.70 after losing 4.89 points.

Grameen Bikas Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (GBLBS) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 28.23 crores. The shares of Prabhu Bank Limited (PRVU) traded the most.

The top four gainers have technically hit the 10% positive circuit today.

Meanwhile, Support Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SMB) lost the most 5.82%.

Only Development Banks and Finance gained today while all other sectors closed red. While Finance gained the most 1.1%, Microfinance lost the most 2.78%.
