Kathmandu, March 28: Around 71.5 percent of the engineers have failed in the license examination conducted by the Nepal Engineering Council.
In this examination conducted by the Council for the first time on the March 26 and 27, although 2,066 students filled the form, 1,981 student took the exam, out of which only 565 passed, i.e. 28.5 percent, the Council said.
One thousand 416 students i.e. 71.5 percent of the students have failed in the exam.
The Council has prepared to conduct the license examination twice a year from now on. There is a provision to fail if the candidate does not score 50% marks.
The Council conducted exams for 26 subjects including civil, electrical, electronics and communication, computer, architecture, hydropower, software, biomedical, mining, mechanical, geomatics, environmental, aeronautical, aerospace, agriculture, agri-irrigation, automobile etc.
