855 new COVID-19 cases, 164 people died



Kathmandu: A total of 855 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the country on Tuesday.

In a regular press briefing, Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr Jageshwar Gautam, shared that these cases were identified while conducting PCR test on 11, 313 persons at different laboratories across the country.

With this, the national tally of COVID-19 jumps to 33,533 as of Tuesday. The total death toll reached to 164.

Similarly, 313 have returned home after complete health recovery today. The number of recoveries has reached 19,119 till date.

Some 14,250 people are in different isolation centres across the country while 10,453 are in quarantine, added Gautam.
