Seven doctors arrested for falsifying educational certificates

KATHMANDU: Nepal Police have arrested seven so-called doctors after they found falsifying the School Leaving Certificate.

While pursuing MBBS study in Bangladesh, they found doctoring their name, date of birth, marks etc in their certificate. Their original SLC certificates were lagging minimum qualification required.

The doctors have been arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Among the arrested are Mohammad Siddique ( Neuro Hospital Biratnagar), Subhash Prasad Sah (Janakpur Children’s Hospital Dhanusha), Mohammad Shahid Raja (Dirghayu Guru Hospital Chabahil), Dipendra Gautam (Chaurjhahari Mission Hospital West Rukum), Akhilesh Kumar Dev (Morang), Pallavi Singh (Bhaktapur) and Faraj Hussain Khan (Lalitpur).

Chief of the Central Bureau of Investigation Sahakul Bahadur Thapa informed that Arun Chaudhary, the director of Jyotidip International Consultancy at Bagbazar, was also arrested for helping in making fake certificates.

Thapa said that necessary investigation is underway by extending the term of those arrested for tampering with the government seal.
