Pokhara, July 27: A 48-year-old American citizen died after suddenly collapsing while on a morning walk in Sedi, Ward No. 18 of Pokhara Metropolitan City, Kaski, on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Matthew Alex Jones.
According to the District Police Office, Kaski, local residents immediately rescued Jones and rushed him to Metrocity Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead shortly after arrival. Deputy Superintendent of Police Birendra Kumar Paswan said the body has been sent to the Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences for a post-mortem examination.
“The exact cause of death will be determined after the post-mortem report is received,” Paswan said. A preliminary police investigation found that Jones had been staying at the residence of Damodar Pahari in Sedi for the past month.
