Kathmandu, Feb 9: To support preparations for the election of the House of Representatives scheduled to be held on March 5, the Indian Government has provided a large number of vehicles to Nepal as a grant.
The Government of India has committed to provide approximately 650 vehicles, mainly double-cab pickup trucks, SUVs, and other utility vehicles.
According to the Indian Embassy, the support is aimed at strengthening logistics and security management for Nepal’s election preparations.
As per the Ministry of Home Affairs, these vehicles will primarily be made available to security agencies (Nepal Police and Armed Police Force), the Election Commission, and other concerned bodies.
