Dolpa, Sept 3: Air ambulance service has been found becoming effective in Dolpa district.
The programme is launched by Karnali state government with an objective of providing safe delivery service to the women suffering from labour pain in Karnali.
A total of five pregnant women have been rescued so far in Dolpa since the launching of the programme in the district. Dolpa has no reliable access to health service.
The programme was launched by Social Development Ministry of Karnalai state in the last fiscal year and a total of five pregnant women so far have been rescued by helicopters, said Chief District Officer, Mukesh Kumar Keshari.
Many pregnant women had lost their lives untimely in lack of safe delivery services.
