KATHMANDU: Applications for the Korean language test (EPS-TOPIK) are open under the Employment Permit System (EPS). The EPS Korea Section today issued a notice requesting applications from interested Nepali citizens for the language test.
The South Korean government will take 9,654 Nepalis from Nepal for employment in 2022. Of these, Korea is preparing to move 6,913 to manufacturing and 2,741 to agriculture and animal husbandry. According to the branch, the selection of Nepali workers will be increased based on the demand of workers in Korea.
The EPS Korea Section has stated that one can fill the application form from March 28 to April 4 to participate in the language test. The application form fee will be US$24.
Among those who have applied, the language test and skill test in the field of agriculture and animal husbandry will be held in the first phase from April 9 to May 27 and in the second phase from June 7 to June 30.
Similarly, the examination for the manufacturing sector will be held in the first phase from July 4 to August 26 and in the second phase from September 1 to September 6. The EPS has stated that the examination will be conducted in four shifts in one day.
The results of the first phase of the language test in the field of agriculture and animal husbandry will be published on June 7 and the results of the second phase will be published on July 7. Similarly, the results of the first phase of the language test for the manufacturing sector will be published on September 1 and October 13.
