Bhutan Airlines to resume Thimphu-Kathmandu flights

Kathmandu, Sept 5: Bhutan’s first private airline, ‘Bhutan Airlines’, will resume flights to Kathmandu from August 16.

According to the official General Sales Agent (GSA) Society International Travel Services of Nepal, the airline will fly four days a week, Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

The company has mentioned that the Paro (Thimphu)-Kathmandu flight, which was stopped due to the Covid-19 epidemic, will be resumed. The flight of Bhutan Airlines, headquartered in Thimphu, will connect Paro-Kathmandu-New Delhi in two ways. “We had to face the challenge of making difficult decisions such as canceling or rerouting flights during the epidemic”, said Pema Nadik, Chief Executive Officer of Bhutan Airlines.

It is believed that regular flights will make it more convenient for the tourists of both countries and it will promote the tourism industry. The airline has claimed to establish itself as a reliable airline by flying regularly in the coming days.
