Bhutanese King Jigme arriving in Kathmandu today



Kathmandu, Dec 6: Bhutanese King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck is set to arrive in Nepal today for a private visit. He will be accompanied by Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen. The royal couple is scheduled to land in Kathmandu at 10 AM. They are arriving from India’s personal visit.

During their visit, the King and Queen plan to visit Swayambhunath and Boudhanath stupas. As this is a private trip, there are no official meetings or other formal engagements planned, sources close to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

Upon their arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, the royal couple will be welcomed by Foreign Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba.

According to the itinerary, the couple will proceed to Swayambhunath first, followed by Boudhanath, before departing for Thimphu at 2 PM via a chartered flight. #nepal #bhutan #royalfamily
