Kathmandu, July 14: Now, one can view the details of blood available across the country through the Nagarik app, a government initiated app for accessing many services provided by the government.
With the addition of the ‘Blood Information’ portal on the Nagarik app, users can get real-time information on how many units of each blood group are available at different blood centers.
The Ministry of Health and Food Safety has stated that through this service, one can check the availability of different blood types at blood transfusion centers across the country from one place.
According to the Ministry, this service has been integrated into the Nagarik app to make healthcare access more effective, transparent, and tech-friendly.
It is expected that this will help patients and their families quickly get the necessary information when they need blood in emergencies, make blood management easier, and also assist in coordinating blood donation services. #nepal
