Kathmandu, Sept 5: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a case of corruption against Teknarayan Yadav, accountant at Saptari’s Bishnupur rural municipality, at the special court today. He was apprehended by a team of the CIAA from Bardibas on August 17 while he was taking a bribe of Rs. 200,000.
The CIAA team also recovered an additional cheque worth Rs 300,000 from Yadav. Bishnupur rural municipality chair Umesh Prasad Yadav, accountant Yadav and MIS operator Birendra Kumar Yadav have been charged of working in collusion in the bribery case.
CIAA spokesperson Bhola Dahal told RSS that a case of corruption has been filed at the special court today, claiming a sum of Rs. 500,000 each from the three accused.
