Kathmandu, March 20: Nepali Congress leader and member of the House of Representatives, Dr. Chandrakant Bhandari, has been given a balanced diet.

Bhandari, who is being treated at the National Burn Center in Mumbai, India, has been given a normal diet after he was injured in a fire at a private residence in Buddhanagar, Kathmandu, on February 15 due to a LPG gas leak.

Dr. Bhandari’s brother Meen Prasad Bhandari informed that the health of Dr. Bhandari, who was seriously injured in the fire, is improving and the skin of his face is getting better.

“Dr. Bhandari is undergoing physiotherapy, the grafted skin is responding well, health is improving”, said Dr. Bhandari’s brother Meen Prasad.

Brother Meen Prasad said that Dr. Bhandari’s physiotherapy is continuing and he has started living without help for some time. Doctors have said that there is no need to do surgery immediately because the skin of the face is getting better.

To control the infection, the hospital administration has strictly prohibited visitors. MP Bhandari and his mother Harikala Bhandari were seriously injured in the fire. Harikala died on February 16 at Kirtipur Hospital during treatment.
