CPC official Liu Jianchao calls on Chairman Prachanda



KATHMANDU: The visiting Communist Party of China (CPC) foreign department chief, Liu Jianchao, paid a courtesy call on CPN (Maoist Center) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.

Liu who is on a four-day visit to Nepal met Chair Dahal at the latter’s residence in Khumaltar this afternoon.

Maoist Center’s senior leaders Narayan Kaji Shrestha, leader Krishna Bahadur Mahara, Barsha Man Pun, Dev Prasad Gurung and Pampha Bhusal were also present in the meeting.

During the meeting, talks were held on the relations between the Maoist Center and the Communist Party of China.

Visiting CPC foreign department chief, Lui, visits BP Museum

Meanwhile, the visiting Communist Party of China (CPC) foreign department chief, Liu Jianchao, has visited BP Museum located at Gokarneshwor municipality-1.

CPC foreign department chief Liu also planted a sapling at the museum premises. BP Koirala had spent a long time in the prison, which was converted into a museum later. Museum Chairperson Parashuram Pokharel told RSS that Liu had observed the museum with interest.

On the occasion, he recalled the post-earthquake reconstruction, Nepal-China friendly relations and contribution of BP Koirala. Liu also signed the visitor’s book kept in the museum.

Saying he has understood BP Koirala during learning, chief Lui mentioned he got the opportunity to know the elected Prime Minister closely in course of visiting the Museum.

Chairperson Pokharel briefed CPC foreign department Chief, Lui, about different aspects of BP’s life.
