CPN UML registers complaint against Vice Presidential candidate Ram Sahay

Kathmandu, March 11: The CPN UML has filed a complaint against the candidacy of Janata Samajwadi Party leader Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, who has filed his candidacy for the post of vice president.

UML filed a complaint saying that Yadav’s candidature is against the provision of constitution and the law. Representative and MP Mahesh Bartaula filed a complaint in favour of Ashta Laxmi Shakya. UML has nominated Shakya for the post of Vice President.

UML has argued that a man (male) has been elected as the President, the Vice President should not be a male. UML has also claimed that Yadav’s candidature is against the provision of constitution and law.

Meanwhile, after questions started to arise on the name of Yadav, who had nominated from JSP, Pramila Yadav from the same party also registered her candidacy for the position of Vice President. Three candidates from the ruling coalition and one from the CPN-UML have nominated four candidates for the post of vice president.
