KATHMANDU: Election of the new working committee of the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) is scheduled to be held in Kathmandu on June 10 and 11.
The 71st meeting of the Central Working Committee of the Association held today has fixed the date of the General Convention. According to the General Secretary of NMA, Kul Bahadur Gurung, a three-member election committee has been formed as per the association’s constitution.
Advocate Dr. Gokul Burlakoti, Election Officer and Advocate Dr. Ram Sharan Thapaliya and Advocate Dhanendra Raj Shrestha are members of the Committee.
In addition, the NMA has informed that the preparations for the 31st annual general assembly to be held on March 23 have been completed. The Mountaineering Association working in the field of mountain tourism in Nepal is the only national alpine club in Nepal.
