Establish identity agenda: Ex-PM Bhattarai



Pokhara, Sept 28 : Chairman of the Socialist Party’s Federal Council, Dr Baburam Bhattarai, has said his party would establish and implement the identity issue at any cost.

At a programme organized here to announce the Tamuwan national committee of the party on Friday, the former Prime Minister Dr Bhattarai however said the identity agenda was shadowed in the unitary system.

On a different note, he said his party would advocate for the Presidential System and recognize the fully proportional parliament with the establishment of identity agenda.

Party Vice Chairperson Hemraj Rai, Tamuwan national committee In-Charge Rudra Bahadur Gurung and Gandaki State In-Charge Ganesh Man Gurung warned that they would continue their identity struggle till they were recognized.

A 33-member Tamuwan national committee was declared with the leadership of Hum Bahadur Gurung.
