Folks in Mahendranagar stage rally demanding Bipin Joshi’s release



Kathmandu, Nov 5: Locals of Kanchanpur district staged a protest in Mahendranagar on Sunday demanding an immediate release of one Bipin Joshi, who is supposed to have in the captive of Palestine extremist Hamas.

Relatives and family members of Bipin submitted a memo to the Minister for Foreign Affairs via the Chief District Officer of Kanchanpur seeking an immediate release of Joshi.

“Please, bring back my son from whatever status he is by treating him as your own son,” Bipin’s mother pleaded.

On the occasion, Bipin’s father Mahananda Joshi said that they were hopeful of his son’s return. “We are hoping the government will rescue our son. We are waiting for his arrival. Help bring him back before Tihar,” Bipin’s father urged.
Joshi is missing since the day of attack in Southern Israel on October 7 and his whereabouts is still unknown.

Participants of the rally urged the government, UN agencies and human rights activists to help in the rescue mission of Bipin.

Bipin’s parents and sister Pushpa also joined the rally that started from Madan Chowk of the city and ended after reaching the premises of the District Administration Office.

Receiving the memo, Chief District Officer of Kanchanpur Gopal Kumar Adhikari said that the government was making best possible efforts to rescue Bipin.

The eighth-semester student of Tikapur Campus of Sudurpaschim University, Bipin had gone to Israel some two months ago under the ‘Learn and Earn’ programme. RSS
