Darchula: The Sudurpaschim government has begun supplying food in the remote Chhangru and Tinkar of Byas municipality-1.
A Mountain Air helicopter has begun supplying food from Monday.
The people of Chhangru and Tinkar have been suffering dire need of food. The road transport is very difficult there.
The Sudurpaschim government has managed fund of RS 45 lakh for the delivery of food supply to remote part of Darchula district.
In the first phase, a total of 180 quintile of food will be delivered there. The essential food items include rice, salt, pulse, edible oil etc.
The local people and the Municipality have constantly demanded for the supply of food. It is very difficult to transport food and other items to Chhangru and Tinkar through the trail which was opened by Nepal Army recently.
The Chhangru and Tinkar are bordering villages near to controversial Kalapani, Lipulekh and Limpiyadhura.
