Butwal: The Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City has managed free PCR test on the patients receiving regular dialysis for kidney disease.

The kidney patients undergoing dialysis would be tested for COVID-19 prior to giving dialysis services. Butwal Sub-Metropolis Mayor Shivaraj Subedi shared that those receiving dialysis and living temporarily and permanently in the Butwal Sub-Metropolis would be provided free PCR test.

The medical team would reach out to the kidney patients on dialysis to their own residence to collect the nasal and throat swabs.

There are around 600 kidney patients receiving dialysis services in Butwal and surrounding areas.
