Gaza hospital bombing, a severe humanitarian crisis: Taj Mohammad

Kathmandu, Oct 20: The Nepal Muslim Ettehad Organization has said that the organization was deeply concerned over the bombing of Gaza hospital on Tuesday.

Issuing a press release by Chairman of the Organization Taj Mohammad, it has stated that the Israel-Palestine conflict has been escalating to extreme levels, thereby thousands of civilians have lost their lives, thousands more have been injured, and a significant number of people have been left homeless.

The statement reads, “In this context, Israel has declared war and conducted rocket attacks on hospitals and residential areas within Palestinian territory, resulting in the tragic event of more than 500 innocent civilians being killed in a single day after a hospital bombing. Hospitals play a crucial role in providing humanitarian services, and attacking hospitals, resulting in the loss of innocent lives, including children, citizens, and healthcare workers, constitutes a severe violation of human rignts and a heinous crime.

The Muslim Ettehad Organization Nepal strongly condemns this incident and urges the Nepalese government and the United Nations to take quick action against these acts, the statement says.

The Organization further says, “The Israeli attacks, causing severe humanitarian crises and the haphazard killing of ordinary citizens, cannot be justified in any way. Therefore, for an immediate resolution of this dire crisis, the United Nations-mediated agreement, which was reached in 1947 by two parties, is being actively implemented through dialogue to establish peace with the involvement of all concerned parties.”

The Organization has appealed to the United Nations to facilitate dialogue, promote peace, and provide humanitarian assistance to the victims of this conflict, addressing the human crisis arising from the conflict.
