Kathmandu, April 11: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has viewed that the government should deliver in a result-oriented manner.

Addressing the inaugural session of the 9th general convention of the Nepal Teachers Association here on Tuesday, General-Secretary Thapa asserted that the incumbent government in which NC is a coalition partner, cannot blame others instead it should work in a result-oriented manner.

“The incumbent government could not get away blaming the CPN (UML) and the former King. It should enable a situation where the ruling party leaders can demonstrate their works to people while contesting election in next five years. Thus, the incumbent government should deliver in a result-oriented manner,” reiterated Thapa.

According to him, the NC must demonstrate its works to people.

Furthermore, the former Health Minister asserted that the Federal Education Act should be endorsed by the parliament within four months. He urged the teachers to furnish recommendations for the Act.

More than 700 representatives, mostly teachers are participating in the event having a theme ‘Basis for Quality Education, Prerequisite for Dignified Teaching Profession.’
