KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Home Affairs forms a five-member committee to probe Darchula incident.
The investigation will be carried out into the incident of missing a resident of Darchula Jaysingh Dhami at the Mahakali River after Indian Border Security Force (IBSF) personnel cut a temporary wire crossing over the River (locally known as Tuin).
As per the decision of the Home Minister, an investigation committee has been formed under the coordination of Home Ministry Joint Secretary Janardan Gautam.
The committee will submit a report within 10 days after visiting the spot.
The Committee include Deputy Inspector General of Nepal Police Purushottam Kandel, Director of Investigation of the National Investigation Department Hutraj Thapa, Senior Superintendent of Armed Police Force (AFP) Suresh Kumar Shrestha and Assistant Chief District Officer of the District Administration Office Darchula Jyotsana Bhatt.
The incident have raised serious concern across the country. All the major political parties, including main opposition party CPN (UML), have voiced against the incident.
